BFS Producciones

Founded in 1997 in Uruguay, BFS Producciones is an independent company dedicated to the production and co-production of films between Latin America and Europe, with projects co-produced with France, Belgium, Spain, Switzerland, Cuba, Chile and Venezuela, and presented at numerous international festivals.

• The Gift (El regalo) – mid-length film directed by Gabriela Guillermo (Uruguay/France, 1999)

Released in April 2001, it broke all box office records in Uruguay. First Uruguayan submission to the Academy Awards (2002).
